Shameless Plea for Participation ...

So far I am the only one with any class mom stories ... which is funny because I know there are more stories out there! This week is even a real prize that will be given to a random draw winner - but so far it's between me and me!!! So, all we are looking for is little nominations of any kind, tell us if you brought cupcakes or helped clean desks after school or watched the kids at recess. And if you haven't been involved yet because your kids are little, tell me what you remember a mom doing for you when you were in school.

I know you can think of something - you're a mom and mom's can think of 20 things all at once!

Let's celebrate moms in the classroom (whether at home or school). It's a fun place to be!

I'm looking for anyone but myself to contribute since I already have one of these CD's and I love it and I really don't need another one and I really want to give one away.

You know you want to ...

Come on ...

You can do it ...

You're almost there ...

Just click on "mommies sharing"...

Anyone can do it - no google account needed ...

Love ya'll!!!

Well, Being a class Mom is terrifying to me! I am not creative and feel like I will be judged by my silly ideas. But I will say that I have signed up to help with Halloween and may even stretch my self by Volunteering weekly for the stations activity! I am easing myself in to being a mom with school aged kids...Why is life so challenging?

Well I work in a school as an educational assistant so I am there helping every day. But at my daughter's school I have went in a few times to give out cupcakes at christmas for her class and administration also the custodian to show how much we appreciate what they do for the school.
I have been chair of school council too. The one I am most proud of when myself and one other mom planned the schools 50th celebration for the school . We went all out we had school displays, brought back old staff (had a ceremony and certificate for them), fire trucks and ambulances, crafts, facepainting, mad science, 2 big cakes, train, games for the kids and a bbq. It was a lot of work but everyone had a great time and I was so proud to say I did that!!!!!!!!!!!!
can you tell I love helping out at my school or my daughter's school.

So we are just entering the school years, so I don't have any personal experiences...but my cousin just blogged about one of her home school experiences. She helped her two school aged kiddos with a real lemonade stand one day. They bought all the ingredients, cups, etc. put it all together with cutsie signs and figured out a fair price for the lemonade...oh, and they also did rice krispie treats. The kids worked really hard and were customers were great sports while the kids counting out change, etc. I guess after putting money in savings and paying their tithing, they each ended up with about $9. We never made that kind of money when we tried it as kids! So props go to my very patient and loving cousin, Emily.

Ok, I will nominate my mom too. She used to come be our art docent because we didn't have an art teacher. Once a month she would come and bring various prints from the school library. She would teach us a lesson and then we got to do our own art project. A great way for a stay at home mom to use her humanities degree!
